Rehearsal Schedule: Mondays, 6:30-7:45 p.m. unless otherwise noted.
Spring 2026 rehearsal dates: Feb. 23, March 2, March 9, March 16, March 30, April 6, April 13, April 20, April 27
The VR session begins for most choirs on Feb. 16. Our venue is not available that night, so instead we’ll get together for an informal meet ‘n’ greet to pick up music, meet each other and ask questions about the session. More details to come!
*No rehearsal March 23 for JeffCo Spring Break
**Some weeks may be combined with other choirs for sectionals or larger group rehearsals.
Show: May 2 (dress rehearsal) and May 3 (show) at the Mapleton Arts Center

Get to Know Your Director: Edwina Lucero
Edwina grew up in Colorado, singing in choirs at church and school, from the Meistersingers at Cherry Creek High School to church choirs and groups through college. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Music Education from CU Boulder and spent 20 years teaching and leading in public schools, as well as adjunct at a community college. She has directed a wide variety of styles of choirs and musicals. The best moments of her teaching career were spent in Northwest Denver with her students building a choir program that was inclusive and prioritized a sense of belonging, welcoming any level, at all times. Edwina believes in the ability of every person to use their voice to express and connect to themselves and others, that music-making is ingrained in our heartbeat and how we interact with the world, and her greatest joy in life is helping others discover this for themselves. Edwina and her husband and kids live in Lakewood, and she works with her husband as Director of Operations at his nonprofit, Colorado Treks. She’s excited to make music with Voices Rock!
Rehearsal Location:
Our new rehearsal location is Lakewood Cultural Center just off of Wadsworth and Alameda. There’s plenty of free parking, and you might find us after rehearsal at one of the bars or restaurants in Belmar!
