Voices Rock Lakewood
Be part of the founding session of Voices Rock Lakewood! This choir will launch with a 7-week, kick-off session in Spring 2025. Join for the first session for a lower registration fee and be part of the establishment of a brand-new Voices Rock choir! (Note: this first session will not feature a large show at the end, but rather an informal showcase to present what the group has worked on!)

Rehearsal Location: Creative Locale – 10085 W 18th Ave, Lakewood, CO 80215
When: Mondays, 6:30-7:45 p.m. unless otherwise noted
Opening session rehearsal dates: May 5, May 12, May 19, June 2, June 9, June 16, June 23 (No rehearsal May 26 due to Memorial Day)
Session Fee: $185
Reasons to join Voices Rock Lakewood:
- Singing pop and rock hits you know and love in a choral setting is good for the mind, body and soul

Get to Know Your Director: Edwina Lucero
Edwina grew up in Colorado, singing in choirs at church and school, from the Meistersingers at Cherry Creek High School to church choirs and groups through college. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Music Education from CU Boulder and spent 20 years teaching and leading in public schools, as well as adjunct at a community college. She has directed a wide variety of styles of choirs and musicals. The best moments of her teaching career were spent in Northwest Denver with her students building a choir program that was inclusive and prioritized a sense of belonging, welcoming any level, at all times. Edwina believes in the ability of every person to use their voice to express and connect to themselves and others, that music-making is ingrained in our heartbeat and how we interact with the world, and her greatest joy in life is helping others discover this for themselves. Edwina and her husband and kids live in Lakewood, and she works with her husband as Director of Operations at his nonprofit, Colorado Treks. She’s excited to make music with Voices Rock!
