Fall 2026 dates: September 1, September 8, September 15, September 22, September 29, October 6, October 13, October 20, October 27, November 3, November 10*
There will not be a rehearsal offered at Highlands on September 22 or October 20. Both of those weeks will be “sectionals,” where you come for one hour with everyone who sings the same part. Highlands singers are invited to attend another Denver-area sectional during those weeks!
*During the week of the show (November 9), rehearsals will be combined with other choirs based on performance plans.
Show Info: Dress rehearsal is November 8 and show is November 14 at the Newman Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets will go on sale in October!

Get to Know Your Director: Marla McClure
Marla McClure has been the director of Voices Rock Highlands since 2022, and she feels so lucky to be part of this incredible community.
Originally from Santa Monica, CA, Marla spent 12 years in New York City, where she taught high school music and co-directed the rock choir Unsettled Scores. A lifelong musical theater lover, she has performed in productions including Gypsy, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and The Last 5 Years. She holds an Advanced Certificate in Music Education from Brooklyn College and a BA in Psychology from Pomona College.
Music may be Marla’s first love, but animals and wildlife conservation are a close second! When she’s not directing Voices Rock Highlands or singing with Reverb, Voices Rock’s community outreach choir, she works as an Educator with Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance.
Choir has been a bright light in Marla’s life, and she loves sharing that light with others. She truly believes that everyone can sing, and that everyone deserves the joy and connection that come from making music together!
Rehearsal Location:
We rehearse at the historic Elks Lodge 17 in the Highlands area of Denver. There are two free parking lots plus street parking. The Elks Lodge bar is open before and during rehearsal for social time and drinks!
