Voices Rock is thrilled to bring a choir to the GVR neighborhood of Denver!
Directors: Janeka Taylor and Dave Ramsey
Rehearsal Location: Evie Dennis Campus – West Commons (Cafeteria between the two DSST buildings)
Spring dates: Feb. 16, Feb. 23, March 2, March 9, March 16, March 23, April 6, April 13, April 20, April 27
*No rehearsal March 30 for DPS Spring Break
**Some weeks may be combined with other choirs for sectionals or larger group rehearsals.
Rehearsal Time: 6:30-7:45 p.m.
Show Weekend: May 2 (dress rehearsal) and May 3 (show) at the Mapleton Arts Center
Session Fee: Special introductory rate of $195. Monthly payment plans and scholarships are available. We never turn away someone who loves to sing!

Get to Know Your Directors: Janeka Taylor & Dave Ramsey
Janeka is a passionate educator and musician with a diverse background in music education and performance. After completing her high school education at Denver School of the Arts, she pursued her Bachelor of Music in Music Education at the University of Puget Sound, where she further developed her pedagogical expertise and musical proficiency.
With an unwavering commitment to music education, Janeka has taught for over a decade at DSST Green Valley Ranch. Her experience extends beyond the classroom, as she has also worked with musicians and singers in various educational and performance settings, encouraging a love for music across diverse cultures and age groups.
Dave Ramsey is a professional performer, composer, director, writer, and music educator based in Denver, CO. As a soloist, in ensemble, and as a director he has performed a wide range of music from punk and metal to baroque chamber music, opera, EDM, jazz, and experimental contemporary works. Dave’s original music has been performed on five continents and is commissioned for new pieces by ensembles of all sizes. He currently serves as the Director of Music at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and as the Music Teacher at DSST: Green Valley Ranch High School, both in Denver.
