Denver, Oct. 28, 2025 – Voices Rock, the non-audition community rock choir for adults, is proud to present its first major shows in Seattle, Tacoma and Portland this fall. Singers from these groups will take the stage in unique venues in each city the week of Nov. 17.
“While the rehearsal experience of Voices Rock is where so much of the magic happens, we love the chance to give our singers their rockstar moment on stage,” said Jill Teas, founder and artistic director. “It’s important to us to put on shows in dynamic, fun spaces and invite the community to see what our singers have accomplished over 10 weeks.”
The first show of the week will take place at Block 41, a sleek event space in downtown Seattle. The next night, singers will take the stage at Airport Tavern, a vibrant live music venue in Tacoma. The tour continues the following night to Portland, where the group will perform at The Den, a community-focused music venue.
At each show, singers from other Voices Rock locations have the opportunity to join the local choir on stage . All Voices Rock choirs across the Pacific Northwest and Denver rehearse the same music on the same schedule, with singers encouraged to join with each other to perform in as many shows as they like.
“Since our choirs are non-audition, we get people with no performance experience alongside those who do it all the time,” said Clara Shelton, executive director. “Especially for the folks who are new to being in a music ensemble, the shows are a pretty extraordinary experience!”
These shows in Washington and Oregon follow a weekend of shows for Voices Rock’s choirs in the Denver area. The nine Denver-area choirs will combine for three performances on Sunday, Nov. 16 at the Newman Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Denver.
“The Denver shows have grown into large-scale productions in major theaters over our ten-plus years of operating in Colorado,” added Shelton. “We’re equally excited to put together these more intimate performances for the new choirs in the Pacific Northwest, and we hope people will come check out the show to see if they might want to join the choir in the future.”
Each show will be accompanied by a full rock band. Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase, and attendees are invited to come early, stick around after and be part of the celebration.

After the shows, all of Voices Rock’s choirs will take a break through the holidays before returning for a spring session starting in mid-February. There is plenty of room for new singers in the choirs and prospective members are encouraged to attend a performance to learn more about each group.
