Choir Genius FAQ

What is the Choir Genius app, how do I get it, and why should I get it?

Choir Genius is the system we use to process registrations, take payments, send emails, post the choir schedule, and share the music tracks every session.

You can always access Voices Rock’s Choir Genius system at: voicesrock.choirgenius.com in any browser.

However, the best way to use Choir Genius is through the free app. It is available for Android devices and in the Apple App Store.

In the app, you can easily see upcoming rehearsals and info, but the best part about it is its music player. The music player allows you to save just the tracks you want to listen to, and then you can speed them up, slow them down, loop parts of them and more!

The app is asking for a username and password, do I have that?

If you are currently registered in one of our choirs, you can access the Choir Genius app. The username and password is the same as what you set up on the site to register and pay for choir. The username is your email address.

I can't remember my password.

Unfortunately, there is no link to reset your password from within the Choir Genius app. To reset your password, visit this URL: voicesrock.choirgenius.com in a browser. On the log-in page, click on the link that says “click here to reset your password.” Once you’ve gone through the password reset process, you can use that new password to log into the app.

The app is asking for a choir or a URL.

If you need to search for a choir from the drop down menu, be sure to choose the one that says just “Voices Rock.” You will not find your specific choir (Seattle, Highlands, etc.) in this menu. Sometimes it is easier to find if you search simply “voices.”

If the app is asking you for a URL, ours is voicesrock.choirgenius.com

The music tracks keep cutting off before the end of the song.

If the tracks are cutting off, then that means you are listening to them in the Music section of the app, not the Player. When you go to Music and you see all the tracks that are available, if you tap on one of the tracks, it will start playing. But this is just a preview of the track.

The first step is to download the tracks you want to your device. Tap on the orange plus sign next to any track that you want to save to your phone. Once it turns to a green check mark, it’s been saved!

To listen to the tracks, go to the menu in the top right (three horizontal lines) and then tap on Player. Now you’re in the amazing Choir Genius player where you can listen to the whole track, speed it up, slow it down, and more!

The Player is also typically available at the very bottom of the app. You’ll see a title of one of the songs down there. If you tap on it, the player opens.

I am a visual learner and these written instructions are not cutting it for me.
